Joan M. Preston

Joan Marie Preston, born in Elizabeth, ended her loving journey on earth on July 28, 2012 at the Father Hudson House in Elizabeth, NJ. Joan worked as a distribution clerk for Burry Biscuit in Elizabeth for 35 years,before her retirement. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at 10 A.M. at St. Helen’s RC Church in Westfield. Interment to follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be on Sunday Aug. 5, 2012 from 4 to 8 PM at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue Westfield. Joan was pre-deceased by her parents, Walter and Edna Preston, as well as her sister, Margaret Healey. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Kathleen Busichio (Joseph), Marianne, James and Kevin Healey and William Iracki- Healey (Christopher). Also, her great-nieces and nephews; Casey, Lauren, and Megan Busichio, Audrey and Jimmy Healey and Thomas Preston Healey. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in her loving memory to the Center for Hope Hospice, 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains,NJ.
