Nicholas G. Geotakes

WWII Veteran, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather with a generous heart and wicked sense of humor.  Nick, known as “Papou” or “Mr. G” to many was born on April 1, 1925 in Brooklyn.  He lived in Irvington, NJ until 1979 when he became a longtime Fanwood resident.  He served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS LST 359.  Nick was Irvington’s Supt of Motorized equipment until he retired in 1993, spending his retirement years taking care of his family, which was one of his most immense joys in life.
