My parents, Bert and Leonora Somers were very good friends with Harold and Ruth when my folks lived in NY until 1960. I remember Harold well. He did visit us in LA during the ‘60s and ‘70s. I am so sorry to hear of Harold passing. All my best wishes to his family. My family had so many memories with Harold and Ruth.

We are so sorry for the loss of a great Uncle. Not only was he in the Jackson's kids lives, but he was a devoted Uncle to the Kulak kids. He would come over sit on our carpet and color with Jordyn, Jonathan, and Jenna. They will always remember him with fond memories. The thing that I remember most is the Country House. Could not even begin to share my favorite memories; there are just too many. Rest In Peace and please watch over all of us.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Harold Chenven. Through the generosity and vision of the Ruth and Harold Chenven Foundation, many artists were able to realize ideas and projects that they wouldn't have without that opportunity. Mr. Chenven will always be an example of the good that human beings can do for each other.

I send my condolences to his family and friends, and let them know that he touched many people's lives.

Dear Laura, Peter, Natasha, Rebecca and Joan,

What an amazing and wonderful life he had. Memories forever, one of which was his gracious opening of his home in Stanfordville for extended family gatherings. Godspeed, Harold.
