Lloyd was a mentor, friend and a genuine frat brother. He was the founder of Student National Medical Association at Rutgers Medical School. He is directly responsible for pressuring medical school officials to steadily increase the numbers of Black and Latino students admitted and graduated. He helped set up support programs for minority medical students to enhance their skills.

To Arlene, Christopher, Kyle, Trevor and family,
We wish to convey our most sincere expression of condolences in the transition of Dr. Lloyd. We shall always cherish the fond memories of his youth as the aspiring boy next door. Earthly retirement was not to be as he continued doing what he had a passionate calling for. But, be assured that his eternal one was promised and assured by our Master. May God comfort and bless you all in his mighty, glorious ways. We love you all and share your loss.

Dear Mrs. McPherson, Chris, Kyle and Trevor, my deepest condolences on your loss. May Dr. McPherson's memory be for a blessing. His devotion to his family and to his friends, including my father, was remarkable and what we should all emulate. He was a gift to this world and I count myself privileged to have grown up with Dr. McPherson in my life. Much love, Sherrie

I was in elementary school in Cumberland County with Lloyd and graduated from Bridgeton High School the same year as he. Every time I have passed the house he grew up in, my thoughts have often gone back to those days. I feel badly about his passing. However, I am glad for the life he led as a physician and that he gave of himself to help others in need. Your hearts are sad at present, but as time passes, you will remember the good memories.
