Yun Won Cho

Yun Won Cho of Westfield, NJ passed away on the morning of August 26th at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City at the age of 49.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 3 to 8 PM at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 10:00AM at St. Helen’s RC Church in Westfield. Interment will be held privately.

Yun attended high school at Kent Place School in Summit, NJ. She received her B.A. in History from Yale College and her Masters in History from UCLA.  She held several positions in Development for such institutions as The Brooklyn Children's Museum, The Asia Society, Columbia University, Rutgers University and most recently, Cambridge University. 

Yun had a passion for helping people whether through her work or the kids' school and activities, she always did things with purpose and heart. She was compassionate, supportive, loving, kind and an unparalleled wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. Yun Won is survived by her husband Peter and her children Benjamin and Phoebe.
