Vladimir Moldavsky Obituary

We are very sad to announce the passing of Vladimir Moldavsky, age 79, of Cranford, New Jersey. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

He is survived by his wife Bella Moldavsky, his children Serge Moldavsky, Elena Moldavsky, Alla Bukh, Gene Bukh, grandchildren Lenny Moldavsky, Emma Moldavsky, LIz Bukh, Evie Bukh, sister Faina Vakhman, brothers in-law Aaron Vakhman and Michael Shusterman, nieces and nephews Ella Stamler, Eric Stamler, Sean Stamler, and Monica Stamler. He was predeceased by his older sister Rosa Shusterman in 2007 and her son Lenny Shusterman in 2021.

Vladimir and his twin sister were born on June 3, 1944 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan while his father was fighting in WWII and his mother and older sister were evacuated from Odessa, Ukraine. The family returned to Odessa and were reunited after the war. Vladimir grew up with his parents and sisters in a one room apartment full of love. After he graduated from school, he was drafted to the army for three years. When he returned, he went to medical school and became a dental technician. He married Bella November 16, 1968. Vladimir, his wife, and children immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1978 at the age of 34. The family then moved to New Jersey in 1989 to be closer to family in Brooklyn, NY.  Vladimir and Bella were married for 55 years and celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary together. They were together for better and for worse, in sickness and in health, and created a beautiful family.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading books in 3 languages (Russian, Ukrainian, and English), traveling, collecting interesting items, painting, and following current politics.

He will remain in our hearts forever.
