Vincenzo “Vinny” Perrino, 87, of Union, NJ passed peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on January 23, 2024 after complications from kidney disease.

He was born in Avellino, Italy in 1936 where he began his career as a cabinetmaker before immigrating to the United States in 1961. He married his beloved wife, Anna, in 1964 before starting a family and sharing 59 years of marriage. 

Vinny appreciated life’s simple pleasures like a good game of bocce ball or cards with friends, enjoying a soccer match or car race, and tending to his treasured fig trees. His most cherished time was spent sharing meals with his family, and he is remembered for his kind and easygoing nature.

Vinny was preceded in death by mother Teresa, father Francesco, brothers Michael and Vito, and sister Pasqualina. He is survived by devoted wife Anna, daughter Teresa and her husband Rich, son Franco and his wife Lisa, and adored grandchildren Sophia, Olivia, and Michael.

Vinny’s wake will be held at 4-8pm on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield, NJ, and a funeral mass will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Holy Spirit RC Church in Union, NJ. The mass in being held At Holy Spirit RC Church due to renovations at St. Genevieve's RC Church in Elizabeth, where Vinny was a parishioner.
