Vincent "Vinnie" DeBono

Vincent "Vinnie" DeBono passed away peacefully October 31,2025 at University Hospital, Newark, NJ after a long illness. He was born April 19,1950 in Somerville, NJ where he grew up. He later resided in Cranford, NJ. He graduated from Somerville High School in 1968 where he was an outstanding baseball and football player. After high school Vinnie enlisted in the army and served in Vietnam from 1968-1970. 

Vinnie worked as a dispatcher for numerous trucking companies. After retiring, he worked at the Oak Knoll School in Summit. Vinnie loved golfing, especially with the "Gara Brothers".  His best friend Ron golfed with him and they took trips to Atlantic City, Air Shows and the racetrack. . 

Vinnie is pre-deceased by his beloved mother Olga "Pat" Streeter and father Vincent DeBono. He leaves behind his brothers Frank DeBono and Scott Streeter, many cousins, especially Nancy (Pascale) Beckley, nieces, nephews and his love of over a decade, Carol Wrege.

Cremation is private.
