Victoria Schwarz Obituary

Victoria Schwarz- loving wife to Andrew, mother to Gary and Victoria, mother-in-law to Nikki and Jason and nanny to Andrew, Alex and Bowie, entered the gates of heaven peacefully on January 29, 2026 at the age of 81. Vicky was not only the pillar of strength for her family but a source of comfort and love to all who knew her. Even at the end of her life, she fought hard and conquered fears with dignity and grace. “We can do hard things” was a motto she lived by and she was her family’s woman warrior.

Vicky gave all of herself to her family and lived for the moments where everyone was together. Sunday dinners were a staple and Vicky loved having everyone gathered around enjoying her food and each other’s company. Each person’s favorite dishes were always on the table and lasagna with gravy was her speciality.

While she excelled at any task she put her mind to (everyone marveled at her party centerpieces and candy tables), her finest role was nanny to her three grandchildren; the joys of her life. Every time they entered Vicky’s house, they were hugged, unconditionally loved and given endless treats. She celebrated all their little victories and was at every sing along and game. She was everything you could want for your children in a grandma and the boys were the luckiest to have had her in their lives.

But her love for those around her didn’t end with her family. It extended out to all who Vicky met. She remembered everyone with a gift at the holidays and even knew all the ShopRite staff by heart and asked about their families and how life was going. Even in the rehab facility she attended, Vicky would give Talbots earring boxes to her favorite nurses and thank them profusely for their kindness. Vicky was a rare individual who opened up her heart to everyone with true generosity of spirit.

When someone is sick, it is at times difficult to remember the many chapters in the book of life that person journeyed on before. But, rest assured Victoria Schwarz’s legacy will not be defined by her short illness. If anything, it acted as a reminder to us all of how loved she was by so many and how many prayed for her to see the other side of her battle.

Heaven received one of the very best and we know Vicky was greeted by all her loved ones who came before her. To those in heaven who don’t yet know Vicky- you are in for a wonderful surprise. Soon you will meet her and you will fall in love with her instantly, just as we did. You will probably also get an invitation to her table for the best Sunday dinner you will ever eat.
