Thomas Fowler Obituary

Thomas Fowler, 66 Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend

Thomas Fowler, 66, of Elizabeth, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 21, 2025. Born on September 26, 1959, in Elizabeth.

Tom was a devoted family man whose greatest joy in life was spending time with those he loved. He shared 44 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Maria, and together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family. He was a proud father to TJ and Allison, and a cherished father-in-law to Jacalyn and Elvin. Known as “Grandpa” to his seven adored grandchildren—Thomas III, Angelina, Lilliana, Vincent, Gianna, Savannah and Gabriella—he treasured every moment with them, whether on family vacations, Sunday dinners and everyday gatherings.

Tom had a long and dedicated career on the railroad, working over 40 years with Amtrak and NJ Transit as a Shop Manager at the (MMC). He was respected for his leadership, work ethic, and commitment to his team.

Outside of work, Tom loved making wine with friends and took great pride in his Italian heritage. He was an active member of UNICO, an Italian-American service organization, and a faithful parishioner of St. Genevieve Church in Elizabeth, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister.

He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Libby and his sister, Joanne. He is survived by his Wife Maria, children TJ and wife Jacalyn,  Allison and son-in-law Elvin;  Grandchildren Thomas III, Angelina, Lilliana, Vincent, Gianna, Savannah and Gabriella. His brothers Joseph, wife Kelly, Donny & Pat, sister in law Evelyn and husband Dominic, Dawn and husband Jeff and  many extended family members- nephews, nieces, cousins and countless friends who will miss his warmth, kindness, and sense of humor.

Tom lived a life full of love, laughter, and purpose. His presence was a gift, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
