Theresa Mullen

Theresa Mullen, 89, of 75 Jefferson Terrace, Springfield NJ went to home to her Lord and Savior on Good Friday, April 3rd, 2020 at Overlook Hospital, Summit.

Theresa was born August 24,1930 in Bayonne, NJ, the daughter of John Dawda and Cecilia Golubiewski Dawda.

Theresa graduated from Bayonne Senior High School class of 1947. She worked for Standard Oil Development Company (Exxon) Linden, NJ where she met Lt. Leo V. Mullen of Clifton, NJ and were married for 60 years.

Theresa also worked at Gem’s Dress Shop in Summit.

Theresa (aka Martha Stewart) enjoyed cooking gourmet meals for her family and friends and was a seamstress as well as an artist who enjoyed oil painting, water colors as well as creating ceramics. She enjoyed travelling to Europe with her late husband Leo and was particularly fond of London, England and London’s beautiful porcelain, in which she became a collector.

Theresa was a loving wife and mother who loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In addition to Theresa’s parents, she predeceased by her husband, Leo, sisters, Adele, Jay and Rose.
