Sophia Ann Bosick

Sophia A. Bosick died peacefully on January 22, 2025, 8 weeks shy of her 103rd birthday. Sophia was born in Branchdale, PA on March 19, 1922 to Felix Bosick and Sophia Bosick. She is predeceased by her siblings Gertrude Fietkiewicz, Henry Bosick, and Loretta Bosick. She is survived by her loving family: her nephew and niece John and Jane Fietkiewicz, her great nieces and nephew, Kristina Fietkiewicz, Mike Fietkiewicz, and Gabby Allen; and her niece Phyllis Bosick 

“Aunt Sophie” was a bright, caring, and faith-filled woman who was an inspiration to all with whom she came in contact.  Aunt Sophie worked at NJ Transit her entire adult life, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed spending time with and caring for her family. She loved driving, and she particularly loved going out to dinner with friends and family. Aunt Sophie spent many happy years living at Elisabeth Barabash Manor, a Senior Citizens’ apartment in New Providence and she was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church in New Providence while she lived there.  

Aunt Sophie loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was always positive and always strengthened by her faith. Hers was a life well lived.
