Sandra Sternfeld

Sandra Ann Weiner Sternfeld died peacefully surrounded by her daughters, at her home in West Palm Beach (WPB), Florida on January 2, 2025.   Sandy is preceded in death by her beloved husband Allan Emanuel Sternfeld and her parents, Abraham Weiner and Dorothy Issacson Weiner and her siblings, Leona Levine, Irma Kaplan, Herbert Weiner and Bernice Perlman.   Sandy is survived by her three daughters and their families,  Ellen and her husband Andrew Paretti and grandsons David and Ben; Cynthia and her wife, Susan Barnabei; and Judy and her children Alayna and Max.  Sandy also leaves behind her lifelong friend, Saundra Unger. 

Sandy was a Registered Nurse and worked at various hospitals in Northern New Jersey.  She also volunteered with the Emerson Volunteer Ambulance Corp and she served two terms as President of the Board of Temple Beth Or in Washington Township, New Jersey.   Sandy retired to WPB in 2003.  During her time in Florida, she joined and was active with Temple Israel and continued to give back to her community when she trained for and became a Guardian Ad Litem for the State of Florida. She earned the distinction of Guardian of the Month during her time with that organization.  

Sandy was an avid fan of professional tennis and figure skating and for a time she even took skating lessons at Fritz Dietl Ice Rink in Westwood, NJ.  In her spare time she enjoyed games and puzzles .  Always a lover of show tunes, after relocating to Florida, Sandy was a patron of, and enjoyed an annual subscription at the Kravis Center where she saw all the latest Broadway musicals. 

Sandy loved her family. She will be missed by her daughters, their partners and her grandchildren who were a source of great pride for her.
