Rosendo (Ross) Molina, 60, died peacefully on July 2, 2023, after a long illness. Ross was born in Matanzas, Cuba in 1962, and emigrated with his parents and brother to the United States in 1970. The family first arrived in Florida then settled in New Jersey. Ross graduated from Rutgers University and received a B.A. in Economics. It was at Rutgers where he met the love of his life, Debbie, whom he married in 1992. His greatest pride and joy were his two daughters, Rachael and Gabby. He spent many hours relaxing and watching sports with his mini poodle, Ubear, who the family adopted from Second Chance Pet Adoption in April 2009.
Aside from his wife and children, Ross is survived by his parents, Rosendo and Clotilde Molina, a brother, Peter A. Molina of North Caldwell, a sister-in-law, Rosa Molina, and a nephew, Peter. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles and cousins.
Ross loved to talk about politics, the stock market, real estate, and sports, especially his beloved Miami Dolphins and New York Yankees. He loved fast cars, fine food, and had a sweet tooth. He enjoyed tailgating with his cousins and brother and vacationing in Aruba as much as possible. He was known for his sense of humor, and even dreamed of becoming a comedian as a child. Ross was often referred to as the life of the party and was always the last one to leave.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 9, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Second Chance Pet Adoption located in Morris Plains, NJ. Click on the link below to donate.
