Rosemarie DeFluri, 94, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Rosemarie was born on April 16, 1929, in Elizabeth, NJ.
 
Rosemarie devoted her life to caring for others. At different times in her life, she cared for her ill mother and father, two aunts, and her late son Raphael. Becoming a widow at a young age and still having one son to raise on her own, Rosemarie had to start a career to support herself, with no surprise to anyone, she chooses to enter the field of healthcare which, meant going back to school and learning to drive and she became a home health aide. Needless to say, she excelled at it; she was loved by her patients and co-workers.
 
Rosemarie is predeceased by her husband Maurice F. DeFluri, and her son Raphael DeFluri; she is survived by her sons Maurice, Michael, Anthony, and David; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
 
Her kindness, humor, and bright smile will be missed by all.
 
Visitation will be held at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 528 Springfield Avenue, Westfield, NJ on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 10 am to 11 am. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM.
