Rose Mary Snow Obituary

Rose Mary Snow, 93, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025 at Morristown Hospital in Morristown, NJ. Born in Newark, the daughter of Luigi and Antoinette (D’Elia) Faraone, Rose lived in Garwood for over 50 years. After her official retirement she enjoyed 20 proud years as a school crossing guard in Garwood. Rose was accomplished at knitting and often donated her works to different organizations to help the needy. She enjoyed cooking and was a passionate Frank Sinatra fan.

The beloved wife of the late Fred Snow, she was predeceased by her four brothers, Pasquale, Alfred, Carmen and Louis, her two sisters Antoinette Barbella and Josephine Ciampi. In addition she was predeceased by her loving grandson Gregory Petruska. Rose is survived by her daughter Kathie and her husband John Kelly, loving grandson George Petruska, her brother John Faraone, sisters Alice Chirichella and most devoted sister and closest friend Florence Faraone and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit Wednesday ,August 20th from 4-8 pm at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue, Westfield, NJ,. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, August 21st at 10 am at St Rose of Lima RC Church in Short Hills. The interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
