Robert W Gonnello

Robert William Gonnello, 72, passed away on February 12, 2026. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20th, from 4 to 8 pm at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 21st at 11 am at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Short Hills.  Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Ave, Blomfield, NJ. 

Bob was a larger than life personality who made lifelong friendships wherever he went.  From his formative years in Newark, NJ, to high school football at Essex Catholic, to the sidelines of Millburn baseball and football games, Bob left a lasting impression on everyone that he met. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Jennifer Gonnello, his three sons, Robert, Michael and Matthew, his three daughters-in-law Anna, Tierney and Michelle, and his seven grandchildren, Maya, Julia, James, Ronan, Wrenley, Nico and Carmen.  He was predeceased by his father Babe, his mother Anna, and his brother Stevie.
