Obituary

Robert G. Monahan has passed away Tuesday April 5, 2022 at 10:15 am in his Westfield home. He was born January 21, 1947 in Jersey City and grew up in Dumont, NJ. Robert graduated from Susquehanna University in 1969 with a Bachelors in Business and an MBA from Farliegh Dickinson in 1976.
On April 10,1976, Robert married Ann Marie Palmieri.They were each other's lifelong companions and friends.
Robert was a Model Train hobbyist  and even wrote a few magazine articles sharing his enthusiasm for them. He loved music, especially what he called the "three B's" Bruce Springstein, the Beach Boys and the Beatles. He was very active in the Westfield Old Guard and was an organizer for them. He was a Mets fan to the core and would light up when he shared an annual game of catch with his daughter. He worked for 40 years at North American Phillips where he was an accountant till he retired in 2005
Robert is survived by the love of his life after 45yrs of marriage Ann Marie, his daughter Christina Marie whom he adored,son-in-law Rafael, Brother-in-law Saverio and his  wife Alice, Niece Michelle, Nephew Michael and numerous cousins.
