Richard Fredericks “Rich”, of New York City, formerly of Linden, NJ.
passed away on July 12, 2024. Rich was predeceased by parents, Charles
and Margaret, sister Deborah, nephews James Splan and Christopher
Jude. He is survived by his cherished wife, Pauline Nembhard, sister
Pamela, and brother Charles “Billy” and sister-in-law Rosina.
Rich was born on September 28, 1955, to Charles and Margaret
Fredericks in Elizabeth, NJ. After graduating from Linden High School,
he served in the United States Marine Corps. Upon completion of his
service, Rich was selected to join the IBEW Local 3 Electrical
Contractors. After receiving technical and computer instructions and
earning college credits, he kickstarted a 30-year career with the union.
Rich had a deep encyclopedic history and trivia knowledge, earning him
an opportunity to be a Jeopardy contestant. Equally as impressive was his
sense of humor. His ability to be quick-witted and find most mundane
situations humorous. However, his true essence was of a very kind,
without malice or judgments human being.
When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of
love for those who went before him and those he left behind.
