Pedro Manuel Tamayo, beloved husband father, of Elizabeth, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the age of 81.

Pedro was born on February 23, 1939 to the late Jose and Juana (Sardina) Tamayo in Oriente, Cuba. He was one of nine children. Pedro came to the United States in 1971. He worked for Joseph Cory Warehouse for over 35 years and retired in 2014. Pedro loved spending time with his family and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. Pedro was such a special and loving individual. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Pedro is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Mirta, son Pedro Tamayo and his wife Ana, and daughter Johanna Tamayo. He is also survived by four brothers, three sisters and many dear nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid restrictions, services will be private. He will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Newark, New Jersey.

A memorial church service will be scheduled at a later date.
