Nancy N. Jackson

Nancy Anne Nadler Jackson (1940-2021).  Nancy Jackson started her eternal life early Saturday morning, the 27th of November. Her indomitable spirit lives on in her sons, Sean Collins and Dr. Kevin Collins, seven grandchildren; Liam, Caitlin, Aedan, Ciara, Brandon, Trent, and Patrick, daughters-in-law Margaret Collins, and Lea Ellen Collins  sister Marianne McGonigle (Dallas, Texas) and a family of friends from her broad range of life experiences

Nancy, the eldest daughter of Mary and Edward Nadler, grew up in Colonia, NJ, and graduated from Marymount Junior College in Arlington, VA. She worked as a teacher in Springfield, NJ and then as the Director of Public Relations for St Michaels Medical Center, in Newark. It is there she met her first husband, and had two sons, Sean and Kevin. She divorced and moved to Westfield, where she married Lyn Jackson. After taking a break to be a full time Mom, Nancy re-booted her career at Rahway Hospital as their Director of Public Relations and Development. Nancy was also a president of Egenolf Early Childhood Center, she was Soroptimist, volunteered at Children’s Specialized Hospital and was a past president of the Westfield Rotary Cub. A devotee of the arts, she served as the Director of the Westfield Symphony Orchestra. In 2018 Nancy and Lyn moved to Princeton Windrows, a senior living facility.

Nancy would tell you that despite all her various titles and roles, her favorite was mother and grandmother, and her children and grandchildren were her proudest achievements.

Her larger than life personality, her sharp wit and her big broad smile made an impression on everyone who knew her, and will be missed.

The wake will be held on Wednesday, December 1st from 7 to 9 p.m. at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home. 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield, and the Mass of Celebration of her life will be held at The Community of Saint Helen’s Catholic Church in Westfield, New Jersey at 10:00 a.m on December 2.
