Loving Mother and Grandmother
Mildred Plucienik (nee Olsofsky), 100, passed away on February 20,2020 at the Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, NJ.
Born in Elizabeth on June 21, 1919 to Anna (Tomas) and Valentine Olsofsky. Mildred lived in Kenilworth NJ for 53 years before moving to Mountainside NJ 12 years ago. She was a member of St Theresa’s Church, the Rosary Society and a Eucharistic Minister while residing in Kenilworth and currently a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes in Mountainside. Mildred was a volunteer at Overlook Medical Center Summit NJ for over 30 years and volunteered at St. Joseph Social Center Soup Kitchen in Elizabeth NJ.
Mildred was predeceased by her husband Henry (1982), and brother Walter Olsofsky (2010). She is survived by her children Barbara of Mountainside NJ, Robert and wife Marianne of Malvern Pa., her grandsons Matthew of Philadelphia Pa. and Christopher of Malvern Pa, her sister Frances Neupauer of Kenilworth NJ and nieces and nephews.
Friends and Family are invited to attend a viewing on Sunday, February 23 from 4-7pm and Monday, Feb 24 from 9-10:30am at the Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home, Westfield NJ. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Feb 24, at 11am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mountainside NJ. Burial will be at St Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
