Michael Paul Ferrari, Sr., 88
Michael Paul Ferrari, Sr., known lovingly as “Buddy” or “Pops” to his family, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, under the compassionate care of the Center for Hope Hospice. Born on March 29, 1937, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Mary Modrak and Michael Ferrari.
Michael was a devoted husband of nearly 60 years to Ann (Ryan) Ferrari, who preceded him in death and whom he now joins in eternal rest. He was a loving brother to Mary Stover of Florida (predeceased) and to Debbie Garcia and her husband Joe of Maine. He is survived by his three children: daughter Michelle Ferrari of Roselle, and sons Jeffrey (with wife Anne Marie) of Kenilworth, and Michael Jr. (with wife Janine) of South Carolina. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren—Alyson, Sean, Marisa, Jayson, and Michael III—and leaves behind three nieces and nephews, and three grand-nieces and nephews.
Michael worked in the local community serving in many different roles, most recently in the Tax Assessor’s office for the Borough of Roselle. Earlier in his career, he handled accounts payable for Servisco and Monsanto, and also drove a bus for NJ Transit. He was a familiar and friendly presence in Warinanco Park, often seen walking his dogs and enjoying the outdoors.
His greatest joy came from life’s simple pleasures: bowling, walking his dog, and cheering on his grandchildren at school plays, dance recitals, and sporting events. His spirited voice from the stands will echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
Michael will be remembered for his unwavering love of family and his steadfast faith, especially his devotion to the Virgin Mother Mary. May he rest peacefully in her eternal embrace.
