It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maureen Spalteholz. Our hearts ache from the suddenness of her passing, but she leaves a legacy of kindness and joyful memories to comfort her many friends and family in celebration of a life well lived.
Maureen was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on September 16, 1948, to Robert Howard and Ruth Davis. She grew up in Rockaway, NJ with her parents and siblings Kathleen (Brundin), Eileen (Sasso), Robert, Thomas and Celia (Horowitz). The family home was small but contained an abundance of music and laughter. Maureen and her brothers and sisters developed a closeness that continues through each of their lives.
Maureen also developed loving friendships with countless people across the many stages of her life. She remained close to the end with friends who knew her from childhood and her years at Morris Catholic High School where she graduated in 1966.
Maureen married John Jere Waldron in 1970 and together they raised their children Jere and Amy until his death in 1990. The family resided primarily in Norcross, GA and Cranford, NJ.
Maureen spent the majority of her career employed at The Connell Company where she retired as a Vice President. Her attention to her work and dedication to the Connell family made her a valued coworker and friend to many at the company.
During her time at Connell she met Robert Spalteholz, and they were married in 2003. She became the loving grandmother of five children, Alexis and Cooper from her stepdaughter Aimee Fishbeck; Jackson, Derek and Noah from her daughter Amy Ghelli.
