MaryAnn Rotolo, 80 of Mountainside, NJ passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025 in her home
surrounded by family.
Born September 9, 1944 in Elizabeth, NJ to Anne and Louis Rotolo, MaryAnn graduated from
St. Mary’s High School, class of 1962. During high school, she volunteered as a Candy Striper
at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where she developed a lifelong passion for connecting with others
and making everyone she met feel comforted and valued. She went on to a career as a
bookkeeper, stay-at-home Mom, and then as an optical assistant at Brunner Opticians in
Westfield.
She was a beloved mom, sister, Mimi, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her daughter,
Kimberly Lisnock O’Donnell (Kevin O’Donnell), brother, Louis Rotolo (Christine Rotolo),
granddaughters, Katama and Julia O’Donnell, and her many nieces and nephews.
MaryAnn brightened the lives of everyone she met. She will be remembered for her big smile,
heartfelt kindness and impeccable sense of style. Her greatest joy were her granddaughters,
Katama and Julia. They were the very essence of her happiness. Her legacy will live on not just
in the memories she created but in the hearts of her granddaughters who were, without a doubt,
her most precious treasures.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8pm at the Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave, Westfield, NJ.
Funeral mass will be on Friday at 10am at St Bartholamew Church, Scotch Plains with entombment to follow at St Theresa Cemetery, Summit.
