Mary Ann Raimondi Obituary

Mary Ann Raimondi, age 70, passed away peacefully on August 15th 2025. She was born in Kenilworth N.J. on February 7th 1955. Mary Ann was the middle child of three to her parents Marziella “Margie” and Celestino (Chet) Mosco.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving son Mark Raimondi, her sister Diana Davidowitch and her brother Chet Mosco.

She grew up learning the art of gardening at her father’s side. The garden became her sanctuary, a place where she cultivated not only flowers, but also patience, joy, and wisdom.

Other than her garden, her kitchen was a place of warmth and comfort. The aromas of Christmas cookies, a fresh pot of gravy, pasta, fried meatballs, pork sausage and braciole, not only filled our stomachs, but filled our lives with rich Italian tradition and love.

Mary Ann married her beloved husband, Mark Raimondi on May 18th 1975. Her dedication to her husband and son defined the loving nature of Mary Ann. She tended to her family in the same way she tended to her garden, with love, patience, and tenderness. She now joins her husband in heaven to complete their love story.

Mary Ann worked many years at Celanese in Summit New Jersey, gaining many precious friends along the way. She has positively affected so many lives through her years as an art teacher at Saint Theresa’s school in Kenilworth N.J. Her meticulous nature, and her keen eye for detail will leave an everlasting ripple of memories for those who knew her.

A constant word of advice she would often say to her son was, “Always remember to stop and smell the roses.” She believed in loving the simple things in life, and always finding the beauty in even the smallest things. She will truly be missed by all, but we will celebrate her reunion with her beloved husband, and cherish the beautiful memories we all shared with her.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue in Westfield on Thursday, August 21 from 9:00-11:00 AM.

A Catholic Burial Mass will be held at St. Raphael Roman Catholic Church, 346 East Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston N.J. 07039 on Thursday, August 21 at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, enjoy a traditional Italian meal with the people you love, and create memories like the ones that have anchored our family together
