Mary Ann (Maureen) Geoghegan, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and dear friend, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026.
She was a woman of warmth, strength, and unwavering love. Maureen was born in June 1947 to the late John and Ellen McWeeney in Drumkeeran, County Leitrim, Ireland. Family, tradition, her Irish heritage, and religion were always at the center of her life. She loved sharing stories of her childhood in Ireland, spending time at the beach, reading books, playing cards, traveling, cheering for the New York Yankees, and her love for animals was second to none.
Maureen is survived by her devoted husband, John; her children, James, Maura (Jessica), Kevin, and Cristin; her adored grandchildren, Riley, Luke, and Finley; her siblings, Bernard, Michael James, and Margaret; and her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded by her beloved sibling, John. Maureen will also be remembered by many dear friends, both in Ireland and the United States, all of whom she loved dearly.
