Marlene Angela Puopolo left us during the late evening on May 2nd while living in Punta Gorda, Florida. Marlene was born in Newark NJ on July 9th, 1937 and was the first child of Florence and Anthony Puopolo. Marlene was raised in Newark NJ until her late teens at which point Marlene, her brother and parents moved to West Orange, New Jersey. Following grammar school still in Newark just around the corner from her home Marlene went on to and graduated from Newark’s Barringer High School. Marlene then pursued study and finished Berkeley Secretarial School to begin a career as an Executive Secretary in the corporate world. Every summer from very early childhood Marlene spent entirely in the shore town of Belmar NJ. Marlene a classical pianist at an early age will be remembered by all who were lucky to know her as a trusted friend whose warm smile and gentle ways put you at ease and in comfort.
Marlene is predeceased by her Parents, Anthony and Florence (Space) Puopolo, her Sister-In-Law Helen (O’Neill) Puopolo as well as her many Aunts and Uncles that welcomed her with open arms. In life, she leaves her loving brother, Louis and his wife Donna, her niece Maria and her husband Michael, her nephew Louis and his wife Rachel, her nephew, Christian and her nephew, Anthony along with his wife Wendy Lynn. There will be no Visitation Wake for Marlene but she and her family welcome you to join them if you are able for a MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL, on Monday May 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Apostle R.C. Church 1805 Penbrook Terrace, Linden, NJ. Marlene will then join her parents for a mausoleum interment at Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery in Union NJ
