Marilyn Rose Krajcik passed away at the age of 90 on March 6, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family. She has one surviving sister, Julianne Dimler. Marilyn is reunited in heaven with her husband Rudy, the love of her life.
Marilyn grew up in New York City, where she attended Cathedral High School, and Hunter College. Marilyn and Rudy moved to Mountainside, NJ in 1962, and raised their 6 children, Deb Krajcik, Ken Krajcik, Rich Krajcik (wife Kathleen), Kathy Ann Krajcik, Carole Falk (husband Jon), and Jeannie Lutz(husband Tom). Marilyn was a Rosarian, and both she and Rudy were very dedicated to helping out at Our Lady of Lourdes grade school, where all of their children attended. Marilyn had a passion for music, theater, dancing and making people smile. Together again, we are sure that Marilyn and Rudy are dancing.
Following the death of Rudy, Marilyn ran her own business, Travels with Marilyn, which was a personal limousine service. She met so many wonderful people during her years with this business, and took tremendous pride in providing personal and safe travel services to her clients, many of whom became her friends.
Marilyn lived for her family, and adored her role of being Mom to her 6 children, and even more so, being Grandma to her 10 Grandchildren, Courtney, Brian, Cassandra, Jonathan, Christopher, T.J., Zachary, Kaitlyn, Daniel and Christian, and Great-Grandma to her 2 Great-Grandkids, Emma and Tyler. Marilyn had a true zest for life, and her silliness was infectious. She tap-danced into her 80’s, and was a member of a Kazoo band at a church picnic. In the spirit of helping others, Marilyn volunteered with Meals on Wheels for many years, as well as making weekly sandwiches for her church group. She was also a Chapel Adorer for many years at Our Lady of Lourdes church in Mountainside.
Marilyn’s light-spirited, and loving personality will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home in Westfield, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 10 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Mountainside, NJ, and the interment will follow at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
