Marianne Cullinan Obituary

Marianne Cullinan passed away peacefully on January 27, 2023. She was 93 years young. She was born in Buenos Aires Argentina and moved around the Midwest before settling in Elizabeth New Jersey with her family. She graduated from St. Mary’s high school and then attended the American Academy of dramatic arts in New York. She met and married the love of her life Daniel J. Cullinan and they had one daughter, Mary Kate. Marianne was active in community theater, especially with the Maplewood strollers. She was a lector and Eucharistic minister at Saint Genevieve‘s church. She loved her monthly get togethers with her high school girlfriends "the Hilltoppers". She had a zest for life and loved her family. 

She survived by her daughter, Mary Kate and granddaughter, Danielle Cullinan, her brothers, Thomas Amato (Patsy), Ray Amato (Jean), and her nieces and nephews. Her granddaughter Maeve is waiting for her in heaven.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at St. Genevieve’s RC Church, 200 Monmouth Rd., Elizabeth at 10:30 AM.  Inurnment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass at church.
