Madge Speers Obituary

Madge Geddis Speers passed away on August 27, 2021. Madge was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 13, 1933, and was a resident of Mountainside, New Jersey for the last 40 years. She graduated from New Jersey State College in 1955 and later obtained a M.Ed. from Columbia University. In 1963 Madge married R. John Speers of County Antrim, Northern Ireland. After residing in Northern Ireland for several years Madge returned with John to New Jersey where she embarked on a 39-year career teaching in the East Orange school system.

Madge is survived by her husband, R. John Speers of Mountainside, and her brother James Robert Geddis, Jr. of North Plainfield, NJ.
