Karenanne Strohmeier

Karenanne Strohmeier (Austin) of Mountainside passed away peacefully after a brief illness on February 18th, 2023, with loved ones at her side.

Born in Belleville, NJ on September 13, 1969, she grew up in Edison, NJ with her wonderful mother Carolyn, brother, P.J. and sister, Amy. She attended catholic schools graduating from St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral School in Metuchen, NJ and St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Edison, NJ where she met her loving husband, Keith.

Karenanne met her husband in 1983 and were high school sweethearts.  They married in 1996 and moved to Mountainside in 2002.  Since then, they have been happily married and raising their three remarkable and beautiful sons, Henry, Samuel and Miguel. 

She was a loving, caring, cherished mother, beloved wife and friend who put the needs of others ahead of her own.  She had the best sense of humor and lightened up the world of the lives around her. Karenanne was special to so many people and so loved by all.

Karenanne was active in the community and the schools that her children attended. She volunteered for many years at our Lady of Lourdes church. She enjoyed family vacations and spending summers in Cape May. 

For those lucky enough to have known Karenanne, all are better for it. Keith and the boys will cherish the time spent with her, safeguard the warmest memories of her in their hearts always, and love her forever.

Karenanne is survived by her husband of 26 years, Keith Strohmeier, their sons Henry, Samuel and Miguel, her mother Carolyn Austin, her brother Paul (PJ) Austin and his wife Suzanne, her sister Amy Austin D'Amore and her husband Joe, her nieces, Emma, Julianna and Ava, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
