Justin Olsen

Justin Olsen, 24, of Westfield, N.J. passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2014 in Lake Worth, Florida.

Born in London, England to Kathryn (Kit) and Harry Olsen, he moved to America when he was 4 years old. He lived on Staten Island, N.Y. before settling in Westfield, N.J. twenty one years ago. Justin attended Tamaques Elementary School, Edison Intermediate School, Westfield High School and Rutgers University.
A natural athlete, Justin developed a passion for the game of baseball starting when he was six years old. He played on various baseball teams throughout the years primarily as a catcher. In High School he was Captain of his baseball team, the pinnacle of his High School career being that of winning the Union County Championship in 2006. He went on to playing collegiate baseball at Rutgers University on an Athletic Scholarship. 

Justin was happiest spending time with his beloved group of friends in Westfield and Florida. He enjoyed playing golf with his grandfather and father in Florida and fishing with his Rutgers teammates, especially when they were on the road.

He loved spending time with his cherished grandparents, cousins and most especially with his sister Jillian, who was a great role model for him.

Justin was the beloved son of Kathryn (Kit) and Harry Olsen cherished grandson of Grandma Olsen and brother of Jillian. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended families and countless dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield, Avenue, Westfield, N.J. 07090. A Funeral Service will be offered at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home.
