Joseph T. Krupinski, age 67, passed away in the comfort of his home, with his wife by his side after over a year odyssey of illnesses on July 27, 2024 .
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, raised in Linden, NJ, Joseph was the son of Stanley and Leonardine Krupinski. He attended St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Grammar School, Roselle Catholic High School, and the Manhattan School of Music where he studied violin under Rapael Bronstein. He performed with various orchestras including the Bergen Youth Orchestra, the Sacred Heart Cathedral Orchestra, the NJ Opera Orchestra, the Suburban Symphony of Westfield, and the Garden State Arts Center. He taught privately for many years as well. Also, He worked for Primerica serving his clients with the same enthusiasm as his music.
Besides his love of music, Joseph was an avid bowler averaging over 200 and was robbed of a 300 game by the evil 7 10 split. He bowled in many leagues with his father, brothers and friends developing strong bonds and liberally handing out bowling tips. Throughout his life, he enjoyed baking and cooking, particularly hosting holiday dinners, barbecues for family and friends. After moving to Union, he took up gardening, growing a variety of vegetables. His love of family was even more evident by the devotion he had for his children, acting as chauffeur, and always attending events. Many of his conversations started with the accomplishments of his daughters.
He is survived by his wife, Marie and their children: Patricia M. McCall and her husband Patrick, and Krystyna A. Krupinski. He also leaves behind his brother, John Krupinski, his aunt Theresa Matlosz and many cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Leonardine Krupinski, brothers Stanley Krupinski, Jr. and Christopher Krupinski.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for Visiting Hours at Higgins and Bonner 582 Springfield Ave, Westfield, NJon Tuesday, August 6th from 4-8 PM, and for the Funeral Mass at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus (131 E. Edgar Rd., Linden)at 10am on Wednesday, August 7. Cremation is private. Interment of cremains will be at St Gertrude Cemetery , 53 Inman Ave Colonia, NJ on Monday, August 12th at 10 AM.
