Jonathan (Jay) Trumbull passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024 after a long illness.
Born on June 7, 1941 to Stanley and Margaret (nee Walsh) Trumbull in Montvale, NJ. He grew up in Bernardsville, then lived in Union for 40 years before moving to Spring Lake.
He is survived by his 4 children Janisanne (Edison), Jonathan and his wife Jennifer (Livingston), Pamela (Union) and Melissa (Cranford), his 4 grandchildren Joseph Giardano, Kaitlyn Petrie and her husband Robert, Daniel McKiernan and Juliette Trumbull; his 3 great grandchildren RJ, Antonia and Lucas Petrie; his brother Lee (Delaware) and sister Patricia(Judy) of Florida. He is predeceased by his sister Priscilla (Sally) of California.
A graduate of The Delbarton School in 1959, he attended both Rutgers and Seton Hall Universities. He worked for AT&T and Johnson & Johnson as an Internal Auditor, and most recently for the Home Depot in Neptune.
Jay was very proud of a family history that stretched back to include John Trumbull, a celebrated American painter whose works grace the Rotunda of the United States Capitol Building, as well as the back of the $2 bill
