John Albert Nitche of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 11, 2021 at St Barnabas Medical Center.
Beloved husband of June Alice Nitche for more than fifty-one years, loving father of Jonathan & Wendy Nitche, Alyson & Dave Germond and Jason & Tracy Nitche. Amazing “Pop” to 7 grandchildren Blake, Preston, Luke, Kelsey, Brennan, Molly and Bryce. Brother to Robert & Nancy Nitche and Uncle to Carl & Rob and Liz Nitche, Brother-In-Law to Ruth and Steve Swarin, and Uncle to Douglas & Patricia Swarin and Greg & Ladan Swarin.
Albert was born on December 5, 1942 and raised in Roselle, NJ. After graduating the College of the Ozarks in Arkansas, he received his M.B.A form Farleigh Dickinson University. Albert spent his entire career as a pharmaceutical executive. Upon retirement, Albert found enjoyment as a certified shellfish gardener to establish Re-Clam The Bay, Long Beach Island, NJ.
A gracious, loyal, selfless friend to all who knew him, Albert was active across several interests and hobbies. Reading, sailing, woodworking, car restoration, traveling, home repairs are just a few of the interests he passed on to his children and grandchildren. A member of Roselle Golf Club and founding member of the Roselle Park travel soccer program, much of his time was invested in charitable giving. His life-long philanthropic support of organizations are too numerous to list but included The Seeing Eye Foundation, Special Olympics, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and several local charities.
In his later years, Albert’s grandchildren brought him most joy through “Pop’s Beach Camp”, weekends in the woods, numerous sporting events, or traveling to fun destinations made his life complete. All the grandkids are enriched forever through lasting memories of special adventures that Pop took them on.
