John Manziano Obituary

John N. Manziano passed away peacefully, with his wife by his side, at his home in Mountainside, NJ on Sunday November 24, 2024.

John was born on August 13, 1954 in Jersey City, NJ to Theresa and Edward Manziano.

John graduated from Rutgers College of Pharmacy in 1977 and had a long career as a pharmacist working at the family business, Manziano's Pharmacy, in Jersey City, NJ then later with Charline's Drugs in Summit, NJ and Rite Aid.  It was at Rutgers that John met his wife Diane and they shared 46 precious years of love and devotion to each other.

John was a kind, quiet and thoughtful man with a wonderful sense of humor, never seeking the spotlight and always caring for others before himself. He enjoyed spending time at home with his wife in Mountainside but also had a love for international travel, especially Europe and most frequently, Italy. He was a lover of fine wine and dining and enjoyed music from Sinatra to Puccini.

Most important, John loved his family. He is survived by his loving wife Diane, his brother Michael Manziano and his wife Carol and their children Nicole Flecca and her husband John Flecca and family and Louis Manziano and Stephanie Somogyi and family.

Visitation will be on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 2-6pm at the Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 82 Springfield Ave, Westfield, NJ. Funeral mass will be on Tuesday at 10:30am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Mountainside, with interment to follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
