Joan LaGreca Obituary

Joan R. La Greca (nee Fasullo) passed away on April 21, 2026 at the Center for Hope Hospice and Palliative Care in Scotch Plains, NJ after a brief illness.

Born in Newark, NJ on October 17th, 1943 to Joseph and Ruth (nee Naef) Fasullo.  She was predeceased by Joseph, Ruth and her brother Raymond. Joan was the beloved wife of Sal La Greca with whom shared a lifetime of love.  

In addition to her loving husband Sal, Joan is survived by their daughters Dana Marie La Greca of Mountainside, NJ and Gina Marie La Greca of Kissimmee, FL.  She is also survived by her stepchildren; Laura Ann Kelly and spouse, Brendan Kelly of Rosell Park, NJ, Melissa La Greca and spouse, Noah Weisleder of Lexington, KY, Michael Joseph La Greca of Palm Coast, FL,Kristine Mary Davis and spouse, Brett Davis of Brick, NJ, 11 step grandchildren and 1 step great granddaughter.

Joan cherished her friendship of many years with the late Roseann Giordano, her sister of the heart. Joan maintained a lifelong friendship with Diane and David Dias of Livingston, NJ.

Joan is survived by her nephew, Raymond Fasullo; nieces Gale Falchetto and Michelle Fasullo; nieces Candace Schiano and Kimberly Iuliano; and nephews David Dias Jr. and Daniel Dias.

Joan spent time horseback riding with her daughters, Dana and Gina, was an animal lover and took great joy in the company of many family pets over the years, she is survived by her dogs, Honey and Willow and her horse, Misty’s Scorcher.

Joan valued spending time with Sal in their home in Daytona Beach Shores.  She was an avid Disney fan and treasured many family vacations at Disney World, especially savoring the specialized foods of the Disney Food and Wine Festival with Sal.

In lieu of flowers, the family request honoring Joan’s memory with a donation to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Center for Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 2nd, 2026 4:30pm at Mosaico 1072 US-22, Mountainside NJ.
