Jennifer J Burke

Jennifer Julia Burke (54), beloved mother of three, wife, daughter and sister, passed
away at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center on May 11th. Raised in Westfield, New Jersey by
her devoted mother Agnes and her loving father Frank. Jennifer went to X-ray school at
Overlook School of Radiology where she graduated in 1993 with a certificate of
radiology. Over several years she worked in imaging at RWJ Barnabas in Livingston,
Cranford Imaging, Westfield Orthopedics and Summit Medical in Berkeley Heights. But
for Jennifer that wasn’t enough, she also began interior painting and went to school to
become a licensed real estate agent to help support her life plans and children.
Jennifer is survived by daughters Hunter and Brooke; son Jake; ex-husband Ted;
brother Scott, step-father Joe; and mother Agnes. She will also be so greatly
remembered by many cousins and close friends. Jennifer was predeceased by her father
Frank; and brother Keith.
Jennifer was a very social and outgoing individual that loved going out to dinner,
spending time with friends and going to the beach with whoever would tag along. She
also cherished the time spent with her loving cats, to which she spoiled equally as much
as her children.
Jennifer was also very fond of chicken dinners at her mother’s house every Monday
night which she shared with her three children and her step-father, Joe. Her mother,
Agnes, was always around to help out with whatever she needed, whether it was
cleaning the whole house or spending quality time with her grandchildren. No matter
what she always knew her mom was just a phone call away willing to drop anything for
her. Some other of her most joyful times were going on vacations; whether it was to
Florida to visit her aunt Judy, or to Cape Hatteras where she would create lasting
memories with her cousins and especially her Aunt Barbara, who she adored greatly.
