Jeffrey M. Dreyfus

Jeffrey Michael Dreyfus, ”Jeff”, age 60, passed away peacefully October 9, 2022 after a long battle with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Jeff grew up in Brooklyn, New York and later moved to Scotch Plains, New Jersey.

After graduating from Stony Brook University, he worked for many years at Prudential Securities (now Wells Fargo) and then at JP Morgan Chase as an executive director, where he found joy in finding solutions for various operational “puzzles”. 

Jeff loved to live big and laugh bigger.   Whether it was gardening, cooking, barbecuing, or cheering on “his Rangers” or his favorite athletes – his children - he did it with intensity.  He knew everyone by name and details about their families, be they neighbors, co-workers, or the staff at the Shoprite.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, his pride and joy, Courtney and Matthew, his brother Barry and wife Loretta, brother Ken and wife Michele, brother Mitch and wife Audrey, his dear aunt Ruth Bernstein and cousin Michele Esquilin.  He had a large extended family and many cherished friends, all of which held a very special place in Jeff’s heart. 

Please join us in a celebration of his life on Saturday, October 22nd from 2 to 5 and Sunday, October 23rd from 2 to 5 at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090. A service of   
remembrance will be held on Sunday at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Special Olympics or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)
