Jeanne M. Woody

Jeanne M. Woody, 90, of Westfield, New Jersey passed away peacefully in hospice care at home on March 6, 2023 surrounded by her 4 children and her caregiver Shernette. She was born February 7, 1933 at home in Barnesville, PA She was the youngest of 4.

Jeanne is predeceased by her husband Clifford and daughter-in-law Donna and is survived by her 4 children who were her absolute joy: Michael (and wife Gabriella) of Lebanon, NJ, John (and wife Sherie) of Edison, NJ, Patrick (and wife Ramona) of Cypress, TX and Carolyn (and husband Mark) of Flemington, NJ.  She adored her 10 grandchildren and her 1st great granddaughter.

She graduated from Immaculata College with a Bachelors in Music and a Minor in English.  She loved playing the piano which she learned at a young age and reading poetry.  While raising her family in Roselle, NJ Jeanne would teach piano out of her home, as well as, teach music at local schools.  She had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed helping out at her local parish, St. Helen’s RC Church and in area nursing homes.

Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2023 from 4 to 8 pm and service Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 10 am at Higgins and Bonner Funeral Home, Springfield Ave. in Westfield, NJ.  Interment immediately following at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
