James Lohman Obituary

James Maurice Lohman, 84, of Kenilworth, passed away on May 24, 2024 at Overlook Medical Center in Summit. Born in Roselle Park, Jim has lived in Kenilworth for 82 years. He worked as a serviceman for Elizabethtown Gas for many years before retiring. Jim served in the United States Army Reserves and was a member of the American Legion. He was a handyman in the truest sense of the word as well as acomputer/technology enthusiast. Jim was an avid gardener, collector of clocks, cast iron banks and antique cars. He was a stained-glass artisan and loved to joke around with people.  You can always hear him laughing. Jim was a lover of animals but none more than his beloved pups Smokey, Snuggles and CindyLu. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Judith Ann, his daughter Luanne Lohman-DiCicco, her husband Christopher, brother Glenn, 5 sisters-in-law, 4 brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Avenue, Westfield, on May 31, 2024 from 2-6pm. A funeral service will be held at 5:30pm.
