James (Jim) Forker of Mountainside passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family on February 28th, 2025.
Jim was born on November 30th, 1944 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He was the youngest son of the late James and Bridget (Bonner) Forker and brother to Fran and Bridget. He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and then achieved his degree in pharmacy at Rutgers University. He spent his career as a retail pharmacist where he knew all the customers by name and greeted them with a warm smile.
In 1974, he married his loving wife, Anne, and resided in Mountainside for the next 51 years where they raised their son Jim. His love and dedication for his family was immeasurable. Jim was a doting and loving husband, father and grandfather.
Jim loved music, golf, Jeopardy, and watching sports. He was an avid Rutgers, Yankees and Giants fan. He passed his love of music, sports, and travelling onto his children and grandchildren. He frequently visited his son Jim, Jim's late wife Jen, and his three grandchildren in Massachusetts, to attend family gatherings and watch various soccer and baseball games.
Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anne (O'Donnell) Forker, his son Jim, and his three grandchildren, Benjamin, Charlotte, and Nora
Jim will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Funeral mass will be on Friday, March 7th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Mountainside, with interment to follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.
