Ivonne A. LaQuaglia, 53, passed away on April 3, 2020, at her Elizabeth, N.J., home.

Ivonne was born on Aug. 11, 1966, in Elizabeth, where she spent her early childhood years. She later lived in Kenilworth, N.J., and graduated from David Brearley High School. For the past 25 years, she lived in Elizabeth.

A graduate of Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J., and Seton Hall Law School in Newark, N.J., Ivonne was a law clerk in the law offices of Jorge Cruz in Elizabeth for more than 25 years.

Ivonne most loved her family. Dinner together on Friday nights and weekends at the family Shore house were cherished moments. From games to concerts to pre-prom gatherings to college family weekends, Ivonne believed no occasion was complete unless everyone was in attendance.

There were trips to New York City just for dessert in Little Italy and weekly visits to a favorite diner in Elizabeth. She also enjoyed the occasional “girls’ night out” with a group of moms who became friends when their children attended grammar school together.

Ivonne had a soft spot in her heart for animals. Nothing brought a smile to her face as quickly as the sight of her daughter, Rebecca, with her tiny kitten, Olive, or her nephew, Stephen, and his girlfriend, Sarah Barr, with their peppy dachshund, Otto.

Ivonne is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Philip L. LaQuaglia; her beloved daughter, Rebecca Ivonne; her parents, Carmen and Humberto Bolano; her mother-in-law, Carol LaQuaglia; her sisters-in-law, Patricia LaQuaglia and Debra LaQuaglia, and her brother-in-law, Stephen Milewski; her nephew, Stephen Milewski Jr.; her niece and nephew, Kelly and Tyler Perez; her aunt, Jacqueline White and her husband, Brian; and her cousin, Emily White. She was the loving daughter of the late Franklin Perez; the cherished sister of the late Franklin Perez Jr.; and the beloved daughter-in-law of the late Philip P. LaQuaglia.
