Gloria Madeline Redden (1944 – 2024)

Gloria Madeline Redden (nee Szczepanski) passed away on June 20, 2024, at the Complete Care Center in Westfield NJ. She was 79.

Gloria was born in Newark NJ on November 11, 1944, to John Walter Szczepanski and Madeline Belle Szczepanski (nee Porter)

She grew up in Irvington NJ and moved to Fanwood NJ as a teenager, where she graduated from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School in 1964.

She worked for many years as a secretary and later took jobs as a security guard and a school crossing guard.

Gloria was an animal lover who had many pets throughout the years but was particularly fond of cats.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Redden, her brother Raymond Walter Szczepanski and her parents. She is survived by her son John Raymond Kosydar, daughter-in-law Julie Kosydar, grandchildren Derek Kosydar and Jenna Kosydar, her brother Stanley John Szczepanski, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday June 26th at the Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home in Westfield NJ. Interment to follow afterward at Hollywood Memorial Cemetery in Union NJ.
