Gaetana (Riggi) Bruscianelli was born November 10, 1932, in Ribera, Agrigento, Italy. She passed away peacefully January 21, 2021.
Gaetana, known to her grandchildren as Nonna Tanina came to America in 1971, settling in Elizabeth, NJ where she worked as a seamstress.
Dedicated wife to late husband Girolamo Bruscianelli (2008). Sister to Anna (Riggi) Magro, Antonio Riggi and Maria (Riggi)Monticelli. Tanina was a loving mother to Ignazio Bruscianelli (Michela), Emmanuela Arpino (Bruno), Domenico and Gaetano Bruscianelli (Susan).
Survived by grandchildren Salvatore, Jerry, Daniel, & Sean Arpino, Girolamo, Giuseppe and Valerio Bruscianelli, and Jerry R. and Michael Bruscianelli and 16 great grandchildren.
Nonna Tanina will be remembered as the light of the family. She had a contagious smile and was notorious for telling poetry, riddles and singing in Italian with several interruptions of laughter mid-sentence. She laughed and smiled so much, it’s hard not to find a picture of her expressing her bright personality.
Her legacy will always be remembered as one of laughter, strength and levity and her spirit lives on in the entire family. Rest In Peace our sweet Nonna, you are loved so much and we know you are amongst the sweetest of the angels.
