Frederick B. Meier passed away from natural causes at Aristacare Health Services, in Manchester New Jersey on Saturday, April 18th at the age of 81. Frederick is predeceased by his parents, Frederick R. Meier and Eleanor Starr Meier, and his first wife Margaret Washington.
Frederick Meier is survived by his loving wife of 16 years Judith Fanelli of Toms River, New Jersey.
He is lovingly remembered by his son, Michael Meier of Dallas, Texas, his daughter, Barbara Longstreet of Reno, Nevada, and his five grandchildren.
Frederick Meier was born in the City of Orange, New Jersey at Orange Memorial Hospital on December 13, 1938. He spent his childhood in Bloomfield, New Jersey and graduated from Bloomfield High School. He went on to become a Computer Programmer for Bamberger's /Macys where he retired after 49 years.
Fred served six years in the United States Army Reserve out of Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was the Exalted Ruler of the Union Elks, in Union New Jersey where he remained an active lifetime member. After retirement, he enjoyed annual trips to the Island of Aruba with his wife and family.
A private visitation was held at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, located at 582 Springfield Avenue, Westfield, New Jersey,
A memorial service will be set at a later date.
