Frank M Grecco Jr

Frank Grecco, Jr., age 70, of Scotch Plains, NJ passed away on Friday, May 17th. 

Frank was born on August 19 in East Orange, NJ to Frank and Roberta Grecco. Frank worked for The Napp-Grecco Company of Newark, NJ for over 50 years. He began welding at age 19 and was a respected and loved member of the company as a welder and supervisor.

Frank met his wife Kristin on a blind date in 1973 and charmed her with his dance moves and amazing laugh. They were married September 12, 1976 and enjoyed a beautiful marriage for almost 48 years. Frank was father to three children - Frank, Alexandra, and Samantha, and their spouses, Cristin, Jon, and Raúl, and five cherished grandchildren - Ava, Iris, Leo, Henry, and Luke. He was a devoted husband, an incredibly loving father, and the most loved “Pop.” He was beloved by everyone who met him and made an impression on so many. He had friends in the best places - Italian delis and bakeries. 

Frank was a skilled craftsman and made countless pieces of furniture for his home - his favorite place. He could tell you what species most trees were and loved to spend his time tending to his yard. He was most comfortable in his work boots and jeans. 

Frank is predeceased by his father, Frank Grecco, Sr., mother, Roberta Grecco, and sister Mila Dietze and is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, brother, Robert Grecco, and sister, Allison Sorace. 

A wake will be held at Higgins & Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 22nd from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at Higgins & Bonner on Thursday, May 23rd at 10am. Everyone is welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
