September 22, 1968 - February 1, 2026
Francesco (Frank) Galdi, 57, of Westfield, New Jersey, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, colleague, and dear friend, passed unexpectedly on February 1, 2026.
Always joyful and empathetic, Frank’s endless energy led his family and friends on many adventures. He had a rare and beautiful gift: the ability to connect with anyone he met and make them feel valued and cared for.
Born in the Bronx, New York, to parents Oscar and Betty Galdi, both from central Italy, his love for family history and tradition ran deep, and he passed these values on with pride. Frank spent much of his childhood in Garwood, New Jersey, where his
competitive yet kind nature shone through as he played games and sports in the neighborhood along with his younger brother Anthony. As a teenager, Frank’s entrepreneurial nature and eagerness to work led him to start many small businesses with Anthony, from car detailing to landscaping.
One of his greatest passions was soccer: watching, playing, and coaching with the same enthusiasm and heart, and he continued playing the game well into his adulthood. He thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent coaching his daughters, Olivia and Christina’s soccer teams.
Frank graduated from Pace University with a degree in Accounting and later earned his MBA in Finance. Frank built an impressive career in finance, most recently serving as Partner, Chief Risk Officer, and Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Palisade Capital Management. Frank’s interests reflected his curiosity and love of life. He had a deep passion for music, enjoyed following tennis and football, appreciated fine food and style, and had a lifelong love of cars. These interests brought him joy and often became ways to share happiness and connect with those around him.
Frank’s greatest pride and most cherished roles were those of husband and father. He married his best friend and love of his life, Angie, and together they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this past November. He was a compassionate, dependable, and devoted father to Olivia and Christina. Frank taught them important life lessons, embodying a strong role model and leader in everything he did. He always put his family first, whether cheering from the stands, guiding them through challenges, or simply spending time together, creating an unbreakable bond filled with love, laughter, and support. He was endlessly proud of Olivia and Christina, and his deep affection for spending time with his family defined his life.
Frank was also a best friend to many. He built and maintained deep, meaningful relationships throughout his life. His sweet soul, memorable personality, and joyful presence drew people in. He was kind to all, generous with his time, and always ready to help, listen, or simply be there.
Frank is survived by his wife Angie and daughters Olivia and Christina; his mother Betty Galdi; his brother Anthony Galdi and his family Adelina, Antonia, and Alessia; his father and mother-in-law Rev. Fr. John Alexandrou and Eustathia (Toula) Alexandrou; and his brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces Peter, Tena, Eva and Sophie Lambrianakos; and Charlie, Demetra, Chloe and Carina Tsetsekas. He was predeceased by his beloved father, Oscar Galdi.
Frank’s warmth, laughter, and soft, loving smile will be deeply missed, but his integrity, character, and values will live on in all those he inspired.
