Frank A Bove

Frank A. Bove, 74, passed  away peacefully on January 2, 2020.  Relatives and friends are invited to visit Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, ‪582 Springfield Avenue in Westfield‬ on Sunday, January 5 from 4pm to 8pm.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6 at 11:30 at Our Lady of Lourdes, Mountainside, N.J. followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, N.J.

Born in Naples, Italy. Frank immigrated to the U.S. in 1957 and lived in‪ Newark until 1978‬. He spent the next 35 years living in Union and Springfield while working as a phlebotomist at numerous hospitals across NJ. Most notably at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ until his retirement. In 2014 he moved to Mountainside, NJ. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Carmela Bove (nee Pascale), son, Amedeo Bove and his wife Raffaella Lamiera-Bove; son, Nicholas Bove and his wife Christina Emma Bove; 5 grandchildren, Amedeo (15) Gianna (13) Valentina (8) Emma (6) and Julian (2); his sister Licia Horner, countless nieces, nephews and dear friends in the US and abroad.

He is preceded by his parents, Amedeo & Giuseppina Bove and brother-in-laws, Lawrence Horner and Gaetano Salvati.

Family was most important to Frank and he especially cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed collecting stamps, singing along to music, big family dinners and playing with his (late) dog Bella.

Frank was a gentle and kind-hearted man who was loved by all who knew him. He will truly be missed.
